My thyroid cancer diagnosis was quite a shock. Even though I have been dealing with Hashimoto’s for over a decade, I never knew or thought that it could progress to cancer. Especially for me since I am physically fit, I work in the fitness industry, and I take my physical, and mental well-being seriously. After getting over the shock, my mind went to fix-it mode. I wanted to knock out the cancer and get back to my life. But cancer has a way of teaching you patience.
I’m 2 months post surgery and I feel great. But it took me almost all of the 2 months to fully recover. You can’t rush healing. You can’t rush nature. And you can’t rush the process. Trust the process! Trust that you will heal. Trust that life is happening for you, not to you.
Thank you Chris for sharing your positivity and mindset! Most importantly for reminding us to be patient and trust the process.
