LID recipe: chimichurri

Serving size: 2-4


  • 2 handfuls of fresh parsley
  • 1/4 red onion
  • 3-4 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 juice of lemon
  • 3-4 tb evoo (extra virgin olive oil)
  • red pepper flakes to taste
  • non iodized/non sea salt, pepper to taste


  1. Put all ingredients into a food processor or blender **if you do not have these devices you can chop everything up very fine and mix together
  2. Blend until becomes a paste – add more evoo if you would like a thinner consistency
  3. Put on top of steak, chicken, veggies, egg whites, salads…anything and everything!


  • make a large batch to use on many dishes 🙂
  • Use more EVOO if you like a thinner consistency
  • non iodized/non sea salt is an option if you want an RAI safe salt substitute but some survivors are not a fan of the taste – omit this ingredient if you wish!
